Every Sherzad Haus Spec downpipe is smoke tested and lambda verified before the car leaves the workshop. Zero leaks is not an option. It is the standard.

The tools and equipment we use to deliver this service with precision.
OBD-II Baseline Scan
We connect the Autel Elite to record baseline fuel trims, lambda sensor behaviour, and any existing fault codes before removal. This gives us a reference point for post install comparison.
Sherzad Haus Componentry Fitment
We use new gasket materials and torque to manufacturer specifications on all flange connections to prevent exhaust leaks. Custom manufactured to our exact specifications for a precise fit.
V-Band Clamp Optimisation
For V-band connections, we ensure correct clamp tension to maintain a perfect seal without distorting the housing. Proper tension is critical for long term reliability.
Post Install Leak Test
We smoke test the entire exhaust path and verify lambda correlation before declaring the install complete. We do not hand the car back until we have verified zero leaks.
Common Questions
Do I need one or two downpipes?+
Most four cylinder turbo Euro cars have two downpipes, one per bank. Six and eight cylinder engines typically have one. We will confirm at the inspection.
Catted or catless?+
High flow catted Sherzad Haus Spec Hardware is recommended for street use as it maintains emissions compliance. Catless is an option if you are not concerned about emissions and want maximum sound and flow.
Will a downpipe trigger a check engine light?+
A catless downpipe will trigger a CEL for the catalytic converter efficiency. We can install a high flow catalytic converter to avoid this, or provide a tune solution to prevent false CELs.
How long does installation take?+
Installation typically takes 2 to 4 hours depending on the vehicle. We also factor in time for baseline scanning and post install verification.
